Victoria DeKoatz

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.S., CCC-SLP)

Accepts 20 insurance plans

Hi! I’m Victoria. I became a speech-language pathologist (SLP) because I’ve always been drawn to the power of communication and the role it plays in identity, relationships, and autonomy. As both a clinician and a musician, I’ve seen firsthand how voice and communication shape confidence and connection. I’m passionate about helping individuals feel understood, express themselves authentically, and participate fully in their lives.

My clinical experience spans inpatient psychiatric facilities, outpatient rehabilitation, and private practice settings. I have extensive experience supporting individuals with AAC needs, with over 1,000 hours of direct AAC treatment, and I am currently pursuing my ATP certification. I have also completed the Feed the Peds pediatric feeding course and training in trauma-informed behavioral de-escalation techniques.

In addition, I have a background in classical singing and experience providing resonant voice therapy, along with clinical experience in voice disorders and accent modification. These experiences have allowed me to support a wide range of communication and feeding needs across populations.

My therapy approach is trauma-informed, holistic, and highly individualized, with a strong emphasis on sensory integration, routines-based intervention, and family involvement. I prioritize strengths-based, functional care that empowers clients to build confidence, independence, and lifelong self-advocacy skills.
