Sarah Oyier
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.A., CCC-SLP)
Hi! I’m Sarah. I became a speech-language pathologist (SLP) because I’m passionate about helping others communicate in ways that feel meaningful, authentic, and empowering. Through a neurodiversity-affirming approach, I value all forms of communication and strive to help each client feel heard, understood, and respected.
My clinical experience spans a variety of settings, where I’ve supported children and adults with diverse communication, motor speech, and feeding and swallowing needs. I’ve completed specialized training in gestalt language processing (GLP), childhood apraxia of speech (CAS), and feeding and swallowing disorders. I’m also committed to ongoing professional development, particularly in neurodiversity-affirming practices, so I can continue expanding my clinical knowledge and better support each client’s unique strengths, needs, and communication style.
My therapy approach is holistic, client-centered, family-centered, and routines-based. I use strengths-based strategies, functional goals, and sensory integration techniques to support regulation and engagement. My goal is to create a supportive environment where each client can build communication skills, participate more fully in daily life, and feel confident connecting with others.
