Rebecca Politis

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.S., CCC-SLP)

Accepts 34 insurance plans

Hi, I’m Rebecca! I’ve always been drawn to both teaching and the medical field, and speech-language pathology felt like the perfect combination of the two. I love helping people better understand their strengths and supporting them as they build confidence and reach meaningful communication goals.

My clinical experience spans a wide variety of settings, including inpatient care (from NICU to acute rehab), outpatient hospital and community clinics, university clinics, in-home services, and teletherapy. I have extensive continuing education and teaching experience in acquired brain injury across pediatric and adult populations and have taught undergraduate and graduate coursework at both George Washington University and the University of Wisconsin–Madison. I’ve also served as a guest lecturer, mentor, and presenter throughout my career.

I am especially passionate about supporting individuals with complex communication and cognitive needs through collaborative, functional, and strengths-based care. My therapy approach is holistic, highly individualized, and client-centered, with an emphasis on family involvement, meaningful routines, carryover into daily life, and empowering clients to build independence and self-advocacy skills.
