Hi! I’m Maris. I became a speech-language pathologist because I believe communication is a fundamental human right. Seeing the transformative impact of accessible communication environments inspires me to advocate for every individual’s right to be heard and understood.

My clinical background spans a variety of pediatric settings, where I support children with diverse speech, language, articulation, and developmental communication needs. My therapy approach is holistic, functional, individualized, and sensory-integrated. I prioritize client-centered and family-focused care, partnering closely with caregivers to integrate strategies into daily life that foster functional communication, confidence, and self-advocacy.

I am deeply committed to clinical excellence, neurodiversity-affirming care, and ongoing research. My graduate thesis was focused on the lived experiences of formally and self-diagnosed adult autistic women, earning a Meritorious Poster Award at the ASHA Convention. Additionally, I hold intermediate-high proficiency in Spanish, allowing me to deliver culturally and linguistically sensitive care to bilingual families.
