Krista Salinas
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.S., CCC-SLP)
Hi! I’m Krista, a speech-language pathologist who loves helping children grow their communication skills in ways that feel meaningful and empowering for them and their families. I work with children across a wide range of needs, including feeding and swallowing, articulation, phonology, early language development, and functional communication. I also incorporate sensory-informed strategies and behavior supports to help children feel regulated, engaged, and successful during therapy.
I have specialized training in pediatric feeding, including the Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding, and support children with oral aversion, sensory sensitivities, limited food repertoires, and delayed feeding milestones. Alongside feeding therapy, I enjoy helping children strengthen their speech clarity, build language skills, and develop more confident, functional communication for everyday situations.
My approach is play-based, individualized, and family-centered. I value collaboration with caregivers and other providers to ensure skills carry over into daily routines. Above all, I strive to create a supportive and positive environment where children feel understood, capable, and proud of their progress.

Other interests
Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and being present in our day-to-day routines. Family time is very important to me and helps me maintain balance and perspective outside of my professional role. I also enjoy watching movies together, baking, and spending time at home working on hands-on projects, including raising chickens. Caring for animals and tending to our home environment is something I find both grounding and rewarding. In addition, I enjoy trying new restaurants and exploring different cuisines, as well as traveling when possible. Experiencing new places, cultures, and foods allows me to recharge, stay curious, and gain fresh perspectives. These interests help me maintain a healthy work-life balance and bring renewed energy and creativity back into my clinical work.
