Kate Koval

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.H.S., CCC-SLP)

Hi! I’m Kate, a speech-language pathologist (SLP) who came to this field through personal experience. After my father sustained a traumatic brain injury and my son began receiving speech therapy for a language delay, I saw firsthand how meaningful communication support can be for both individuals and families. Those experiences inspired me to transition from a longtime career in the nonprofit field into speech-language pathology.

I’ve worked with clients across the lifespan in home health, hospital and acute care, inpatient rehabilitation, therapeutic day schools, and school settings serving both general and special education populations. My background includes supporting individuals with a variety of speech, language, cognitive, and communication needs, always with a focus on functional, meaningful progress.

My therapy approach is holistic, strengths-based, and highly individualized. I strive to create supportive sessions that empower clients to build confidence, advocate for themselves, and carry their communication skills into everyday life. I also enjoy incorporating sensory-integrated strategies when appropriate to support engagement and success.
