Hi! I’m Jamie. I have always been curious about the many ways people communicate. I believe communication is, at its core, a behavior. A meaningful action shaped by spoken words, gestures, AAC, visuals, shared glances, behavior, and connection. It influences a person’s confidence, relationships, and sense of belonging, especially for individuals whose voices are not always easily heard or understood. Over time, I’ve learned that what often makes the greatest difference isn’t just the strategy we use, but the patience we bring. Patience creates safety. It gives time and space to process, to try, to initiate, and to trust that their voice matters. As a speech therapist, I am able to slow down and truly listen, and create opportunities for growth, for independence, and for genuine connection. Speech therapy allows me to blend creativity, empathy, and evidence-based practice to support meaningful communication and help individuals feel seen, heard, and valued.

My clinical experience spans diverse settings, including agencies, learning centers, and brain trauma centers. I hold my CPI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention) certification, and I am trained in PECS Levels 1 and 2 as well as PROMPT Bridging. This experience has allowed me to support a wide range of communication needs.

My clinical approach is highly individualized, holistic, and client-centered, with an emphasis on sensory integration strategies to support regulation and engagement. I incorporate routines-based practices to promote meaningful carryover and prioritize family involvement, strengths-based care, and functional outcomes. My goal is to help each person build confidence, independence, and lifelong self-advocacy skills.
