Erica Alleyne

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.Ed., CCC-SLP)

Accepts 8 insurance plans

Hi, I’m Erica! I became a speech-language pathologist because I’m passionate about helping children find their voice and supporting families throughout their journey. My perspective deepened even further when I became the parent of a child with special needs, giving me personal insight into the challenges, emotions, and victories families experience along the way.

With more than 25 years of experience, I’ve worked in public schools, outpatient pediatric clinics, home health, and private practice settings, including providing mobile therapy services. I’ve also participated in play-based assessment teams and held rehabilitation leadership roles while continuing to provide direct therapy and parent coaching. These experiences have strengthened my ability to provide compassionate, practical care that is individualized to each child and family.

I’m especially passionate about caregiver coaching, functional communication, and helping families build communication opportunities into everyday routines. I’ve completed training in the Hanen Program for Children with Autism, which focuses on empowering parents and caregivers with strategies to support communication development during daily interactions and play.

My therapy approach is client-centered, strengths-based, and highly individualized, with an emphasis on family involvement, functional outcomes, and helping children become confident, empowered communicators.
