Brenna Pawelkowski

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.S., CCC-SLP)

Accepts 37 insurance plans

Hi, I’m Brenna! I became a speech-language pathologist because I wanted a career grounded in service, connection, and meaningful impact. My passion for this work began when my sister received speech therapy for hearing loss. Watching communication help her connect, play, and express herself showed me just how powerful and life-changing communication can be.

I’ve worked with children and families across school-based, pediatric inpatient, and outpatient settings, supporting a wide range of communication, feeding, swallowing, voice, and AAC needs. I’m passionate about creating therapy that feels functional, engaging, and personalized to each child’s daily life and goals. Building strong relationships with families and helping clients feel confident and supported are some of the most rewarding parts of my work.

I’ve pursued extensive professional development in pediatric feeding and swallowing, including trainings with Catherine Shaker and Joan Arvedson, FEES and VFSS coursework, and BaByVFSSImP training. I’ve also completed advanced training in auditory-verbal therapy, voice, and AAC implementation in school settings.

I’m especially passionate about helping children access communication in ways that honor their strengths and individuality. My therapy approach is holistic, strengths-based, family-centered, and highly individualized, with an emphasis on functional progress, collaboration, and meaningful connection.

My son LOVES working with Brenna, and I believe this has had a huge impact on his quick progression so far. He truly enjoys every lesson and, as a result, wants to be better and better in his language skills. He’s already self correcting throughout the day and really getting the hang of his ‘s’ sounds. Brenna makes the lessons so fun and engaging that he doesn’t even realize he’s putting in such hard work. So grateful for Brenna and Expressable!

Brenna is able to enhance the lessons to meet me where i am. I truly feel it is helping. I like that the homework allows me to build to a more complex reasonings. It is difficult. I enjoy that we have different levels of goals. I feel like someone finally understands. I think Brenna is the 5 stars.

We love our sessions with Brenna. She is helping my Dad to be able to speak more clearly and loudly and it is working. At my dad’s last Dr appointment he was able to speak for himself without the nurses asking “what did he say?” constantly. Thanks Brenna!
