Kyla Kirby

Hi, I’m Kyla! I believe communication is the heart of making connections. I wanted to form meaningful relationships with my patients and make a life-changing impact on their lives, so that is why I became a speech-language pathologist (SLP). I hope to empower my patients and families to access communication across all modalities and believe everyone deserves for their voice to be heard.

I’ve worked in pediatric home health, early intervention, acute care (hospital) settings with children and adults who have a wide range of communication and swallowing needs. I have extensive experience assessing and treating feeding and swallowing disorders. Additionally, I have completed a behavioral training in Prevent-Teach-Reinforce for Families and am endorsed as an Infant Family Specialist through the Colorado Association for Infant Mental Health.

My clinical approach is holistic, highly individualized, holistic, and client-centered, with an emphasis on sensory integration strategies to support regulation and engagement. I incorporate routines-based practices to promote meaningful carryover and prioritize family involvement, strengths-based care, and functional outcomes. My goal is to help each person build confidence, independence, and lifelong self-advocacy skills.
