About me
Hi, I’m Archana (Arch-na), a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP). Through the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work in a nonprofit pediatric clinic, an independent school that served grades 2-12, a private school, and now Expressable! I became an SLP to support children/adolescents/adults in finding their authentic voice to effectively communicate and understand others. It’s also my passion to support family members/caregivers who are navigating a speech-language disorder or other disorders that impact their loved ones' communication. I am certified in PROMPT, Keys to Literacy, Keys to Comprehension, and Keys to Vocabulary. I have extensive training and experience with Social Thinking/social awareness, as well as social pragmatic difficulties associated with ADHD and autism spectrum disorder. My background also includes experience with executive functioning difficulties, language processing difficulties, articulation/phonological difficulties, and parent/caregiver coaching for families with language delays under the age of 5. In addition to my clinical experience, I have educated others about the importance of early intervention for speech-language disorders and parent/caregiver coaching through the Hanen approach. My clinical style is client-centered and holistic, where the goals/strategies are personalized to meet the client’s needs, as well as the caregiver’s needs to empower the client to be confident when advocating and communicating. I’m always eager to learn new techniques and evidence-based practices that benefit my clients' needs and goals!
