April Wright
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.S., CCC-SLP)
Hi! I’m April. I became a speech-language pathologist because I love connecting with others and helping children discover their voice, build confidence, and reach their communication goals. I believe everyone deserves to feel heard, understood, and supported.
My clinical experience includes working across a variety of settings and with clients across the lifespan. I have specialized training in administering the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2), through Vanderbilt University. I have also attended the ASHA Convention for four years, completing professional development in areas including gestalt language processing, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and multidisciplinary collaboration.
My therapy approach is client-centered, individualized, and functional, with a strong emphasis on family involvement and strengths-based strategies. I strive to create a supportive environment where clients can build communication skills that promote confidence, independence, and meaningful participation in everyday life.
