Tressa Avestruz

Licensed Occupational Therapist (M.A., OTR/L)

Accepts 12 insurance plans

Hi! I’m Tressa. I became an occupational therapist because I wanted to use my own life experiences to help others and make a meaningful difference in their everyday lives. I also love that occupational therapy allows me to work with people across a variety of ages, abilities, and goals.

In addition to my occupational therapy training, I’m also trained as a life coach. This experience has strengthened my interest in helping clients build confidence, recognize their strengths, and develop practical strategies to navigate everyday challenges.

My therapy approach is holistic, client-centered, and highly individualized. I focus on functional goals and strengths-based strategies that support meaningful progress in everyday life. I prioritize family involvement and collaboration while helping clients build confidence, independence, and self-advocacy skills that extend beyond therapy sessions. I’m especially passionate about helping clients develop practical skills that support participation in the activities and routines that matter most to them.
