About me

Hi! I'm Tommeria. I became a speech-language pathologist (SLP) because I always had a strong love of language and wanted to use that interest to help. In high school, my mother introduced me to the SLP that worked at her school, and we had an in-depth conversation about the field and all the things within it. I was given the opportunity to shadow with different SLPs for two summers before graduating high school. I knew then that I wanted to become an SLP because I loved seeing the way SLPs improved the lives of their clients! I have taken the MBSImp course and worked in clinical settings such as schools and private practice. I would describe my clinical style as holistic, client-centered, individualized/personalized, family-centric, and routines-based.

Ms Horton SLP is a passionate and patient therapist that encourages (my child). She introduced new exercises that help encourage her speech. Great session. Thank you.

Ms. Tommeria, was welcoming and professional all while being relatable. She made sure to address [my child] while keeping me informed. [My child] was excited from day one and has been excited about practicing home assignments. This means a lot to us. We are pleased so far and looking forward to the outcome of this journey.
