Tamara Curry

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.S., CCC-SLP)

Accepts 11 insurance plans

Hi! I’m Tamara. I entered the field of speech-language pathology with a simple goal: to help people in a way that is as unique as they are. During my clinical training, I became fascinated by the breadth of the profession—from the complexities of neurological diagnoses to the nuances of language development. I quickly realized that no two communication journeys are the same, which inspired my passion for providing individualized, meaningful support.

I have experience working with individuals with a variety of communication, feeding, and swallowing needs across the lifespan. I’m especially passionate about neurodiversity-affirming care and understanding the “why” behind each person’s strengths, challenges, and communication style. This perspective helps me create therapy plans that are both personalized and empowering.

I’m committed to continuing education and evidence-based practice. I have completed specialized training in PECS, pediatric feeding disorders, and the SPEAK OUT! program for individuals with Parkinson’s disease, allowing me to support a diverse range of communication needs.

My therapy approach is client-centered, highly individualized, strengths-based, and neurodiversity-affirming. I prioritize functional outcomes and meaningful participation, helping clients build confidence, independence, and communication skills that support success in everyday life.

Other interests

I find peace in running errands while drinking a fun drink (usually some type of iced coffee). When I’m not checking items off my to-do list, you can usually find me thrifting, hiking, or getting lost in a good book.
