Shelley Chow
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.A., CCC-SLP)
About me
Hi! I’m Shelley. I entered college with an undecided major, but with two certain passions for healthcare/biological sciences (brought on by my own experiences with chronic health conditions) as well as linguistics (thanks to my upbringing as a trilingual child). I didn't feel that the medical school or research routes were for me, nor was I enthused at the reality of opportunities available with a linguistics degree. I took to searching Google for careers related to healthcare and language, and that's when I stumbled upon speech-language pathology. Immediately, everything clicked and I found myself completely enamored with the field, as it allowed me to exercise my analytic, puzzle-loving mind, while exploring my love for languages. I am a certified provider of LSVT LOUD for both adults and pediatrics. I have completed multiple trainings for navigating neurodiversity-affirming therapy approaches, sensory regulation and its impact on speech and language skills, assessment and treatment of communication concerns in autistic individuals, and trauma-informed care. Clinically, I have worked in a variety of settings, including private practice, outpatient clinics, and schools. I take a holistic, client-centered, and family-focused approach, combining individualized and functional strategies with a strengths- and routines-based framework. My goal is to empower clients to become confident self-advocates, incorporating sensory integration techniques as needed.

Shelley is incredible. I truly appreciate her breaking down how our son learns and why his language pattern is the way it is. Thank you Shelley!
