About me

Hi! I’m Sarah. I became a speech therapist because I grew up watching my mom, a special education teacher, help children with diverse learning styles. I saw how life-changing it was when a child was truly understood - and I knew I wanted to create those moments too. Now, I get to work with children and their families, helping parents connect with their little ones and helping kids find their voices. My favorite moments are when a technique clicks, a sound comes out correctly or a new word is expressed, and a child's whole face lights up. That spark reminds me why I chose this field - and why I love it every day. I hold specialized training in Sensory Integration, PROMPT, DTTC, Gestalt Language Processing (including presenting and teaching this approach to staff), and I am Hanen It Takes Two To Talk certified. My clinical experience spans diverse settings, including schools, private practice, non-profit clinics, outpatient pediatrics, and early intervention (birth-to-3) programs. I take a holistic, client-centered, and highly individualized approach to therapy. By integrating routines-based and sensory-integration-informed practices, I focus on supporting meaningful carryover of skills into daily life. I also prioritize family involvement, strengths-based strategies, and functional outcomes, helping each client build confidence, independence, and effective communication skills.
