Sarah Schmidt
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.S., CCC-SLP)
Hi! I’m Sarah. I became a speech therapist because I grew up watching my mom, a special education teacher, help children with diverse learning styles. I saw how life-changing it was when a child was truly understood, and I knew I wanted to create those moments, too.
Now, I get to work with children and their families, helping parents connect with their little ones and helping kids find their voices. My favorite moments are when a technique clicks, a sound comes out correctly, or a new word is expressed, and a child's whole face lights up. That spark reminds me why I chose this field--and why I love it every day.
I hold specialized training in Sensory Integration, PROMPT, DTTC, Gestalt Language Processing (including presenting and teaching this approach to staff). My clinical experience spans schools, private practice, nonprofit clinics, outpatient pediatrics, and early intervention (birth-to-3) programs.
I take a holistic, client-centered, and highly individualized approach to therapy. By integrating routines-based and sensory-integration-informed practices, I support meaningful carryover of skills into daily life. I also prioritize family involvement, strengths-based strategies, and functional outcomes, helping each client build confidence, independence, and effective communication skills.

Sarah Schmidt has been an incredible speech therapist for my child, and now that my child has officially graduated from speech therapy, I feel so grateful for the role she played in that journey. When we started, my child was very reluctant and unsure about participating in speech. Sarah quickly changed that by creating a warm, supportive, and engaging environment that made sessions genuinely fun. Through her patience, creativity, and dedication, my child learned a lot and also grew in confidence and became an enthusiastic participant in every session. We are incredibly thankful for everything she has done and would wholeheartedly recommend her to any family looking for a compassionate and effective speech therapist.
