Sarah McCoy
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.S., CCC-SLP)
About me
Hi! I’m Sarah. I began as a voice teacher, and I loved seeing students learn to use their singing voices to express themselves, some more fully than they had ever believed they could. I was drawn to speech therapy because I could help people of all ages with even more fundamental communication skills. I bring specialized training and experience in executive function and social communication. I have taught executive function workshops for parents and faculty, worked as an executive function coach, and attended Social Thinking® workshops to deepen my understanding of pragmatic language, self-regulation, and social learning. My clinical experience spans diverse settings, including public schools (grades PK–8), the MGH Institute Aphasia Center, and the Language and Literacy Center. These experiences have shaped my ability to support a wide range of communication needs across the lifespan. I take a highly individualized approach to therapy and prioritize family involvement and strengths-based strategies. My goal is to help each client build confidence, independence, and effective communication skills that carry over into real-life settings.
