Sarah Bex
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.S., CCC-SLP)
Hi! I’m Sarah. My interest in speech-language pathology began in high school, when I was drawn to the field’s unique combination of language, health science, and meaningful human connection. After shadowing an SLP in a hospital and seeing the impact of therapy on individuals recovering from strokes and traumatic brain injuries, I knew I wanted to help others navigate their own communication and recovery journeys.
My clinical experience spans a variety of settings, where I’ve supported individuals with diverse communication needs. I’m committed to lifelong learning and staying current with evidence-based practices, with specialized training in the evaluation and treatment of neurogenic communication and swallowing disorders.
I enjoy creating engaging, functional therapy experiences tailored to each client’s strengths, goals, and everyday needs. I also value collaboration with families and caregivers to help skills carry over into daily routines and meaningful activities.
My therapy approach is client-centered, functional, highly individualized, and strengths-based. I focus on meaningful goals that build on each client’s abilities while using routines-based strategies and engaging activities to support progress. My goal is to create a supportive environment where every client feels confident, empowered, and able to participate more fully in daily life.
