About me

Hi! I'm Rachel. During high school, I discovered my passion for child development while working and volunteering in elementary school settings. I was drawn to speech-language pathology because it allows me to combine my love of working with children with my fascination for language and communication development. What excites me most about this field is the opportunity to provide individualized, one-on-one therapy tailored to each child's unique needs and goals. There's something deeply rewarding about helping children find their voice and develop the communication skills that will serve them throughout their lives. I've enjoyed attending SLP Summit on several occasions. I have trained coworkers on Chat Editor for TouchChat. I have also trained special education teachers and educational assistants on AAC in the classroom (various apps including LAMP, Snap Core, TouchChat, and Proloquo2Go). I have worked in clinical settings such as private practice, school, and preschool. I would describe my clinical style as client-centered and individualized/personalized.

I feel like Rachel took time to get to know [my son].  I feel like this is a good fit and am looking forward to meeting with Rachel again and hearing her evaluation.

We absolutely love our therapist! She makes each session so fun and engaging. Our son looks forward to it and has shown tremendous gains in his speech sounds in the last couple of months!
