About me

Hello! I’m Pamela, a licensed and certified speech-language pathologist with a passion for helping children and young adults grow into confident, connected communicators. My journey into speech-language pathology began in college, when my grandmother experienced a stroke. Watching her therapists support her recovery opened my eyes to a new profession and the profound role communication plays in independence, relationships, and quality of life. Although I originally imagined working with adults, my lifelong love for children led me down a different path. After graduation, I began working with children of all ages in private practice and within the Head Start system — and I quickly fell in love with pediatrics. I am trained in the Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets (PROMPT) method, and I have extensive experience working with individuals and families who utilize AAC, including Tobii Dynavox speech generating devices. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of supporting children and families across a variety of settings, including multidisciplinary clinics alongside OT and PT colleagues, in-home therapy, and telehealth. These diverse experiences have shaped my whole child approach and strengthened my belief in meaningful collaboration with parents and caregivers. My clinical style is relationship-centered, individualized, functional, evidence-based and sensory-aware. I believe children make their greatest progress when their strengths and interests are recognized, celebrated, and woven into therapy. I use evidence-based practices while tailoring each session to a child’s unique personality, interests, learning style, and family culture. My goal is to make therapy joyful, functional, and empowering — for both children and their caregivers. It’s an honor to walk alongside families as they celebrate progress, navigate challenges, and help their children find their voice.
