About me

Hi! I’m Olivia. I have found that relating to one another is a beautiful experience and a natural human right; it plays a large role in happiness and connectivity in this life. It is important for people to share their thoughts and feel good about who they are. SLPs demonstrate a variety of ways to achieve this. Becoming a therapist has been a wonderful and direct way to help others share life with one another, through connecting and learning together. I have completed extensive professional development in pediatric and school-based speech-language pathology, with specialized focus on: Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and functional communication strategies, evidence-based classroom practices to support language, literacy, and collaborative learning, assessment and intervention for culturally and linguistically diverse students (including African American English and translanguaging practices), play-based language development and supporting children with unique language processing profiles, and ethical and effective school-based service delivery (from referral through dismissal). I have experience working in the school-based setting, supporting children with a range of communication needs. I approach therapy with a functional style and prioritize strengths-based strategies and client empowerment to help each person build confidence, independence, and lifelong self-advocacy skills.

Olivia is just phenomenal. Prompt start time, immediately to work. Being efficient isn’t just polite, it helps keep my daughter engaged in the lessons. No worrying about what’s happening next, it’s already ready to go. Very kind and thoughtful Speech Pathologist.
