About me

Hello! I'm Olivia. I have been interested in working with children from as early as I can remember. I grew up wanting to be an elementary school teacher but found speech-language pathology in my senior year of high school and immediately fell in love with the field. I love playing a role in empowering people to find their voice and walk alongside families to help their loved ones with communication and swallowing. I've worked in settings such as private practice (birth to 5 years), pediatric outpatient hospitals, and schools. I completed a Certificate in Pediatric Dysphagia in August 2021, which focused on the assessment and treatment of children with feeding/swallowing disorders, especially young children. Much of my practice in my most recent position focused on supporting feeding/swallowing skills. I earned the ASHA ACE award twice in 2021. In 2023, I led an internal continuing education lecture on managing dysphagia in medically complex patients. During graduate school, I presented at ASHA regarding a single-subject design study I completed with an adult in accent modification therapy. My clinical style is client-centered, functional, individualized/personalized, family-centric, routines-based, strengths-based, and rooted in client-empowerment to create self-advocates.

Olivia always does a great job working with my daughters. She really takes time to understand how they learn and communicate and build on those skills. She is always upbeat and in a good mood. She is also so flexible and willing to collaborate with me. Todays session was great. It always feels like a positive experience. She is a pleasure to work with.

Olivia has been wonderful to work with. She is great at collaborating with me to address any issues that we need to work on with both of my daughters. She has done am amazing job with having a plan to fill in the missing gaps for my girls. They have both had many years of speech therapy but still had some areas we needed to work on. She is always so sweet and has a great personality. My girls love working with her.

From scheduling the initial consultation and evaluation, to working weekly with our speech therapist, and also getting answers to billing questions, everyone we interacted with was friendly, professional, and supportive.

Olivia was so excited about meeting us. She was understanding of my son’s desire to show her his favorite toy. Olivia was able to give him time to share and then put it aside, she displayed great adaptation to the situation. (My son) was able to stay connected through the whole session.

We have only had a few sessions with Olivia and I am so pleased. She is right on track with how she is working on my daughters goals. I feel like my daughter connected with her right away. This is the fastest transition to a new speech therapist we have ever had. My daughter has been doing speech for about 20 years. We are so happy we are adding more days to our speech schedule. :)
