Melissa Martin

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.S., CCC-SLP)

Accepts 18 insurance plans

Hi! I’m Melissa. I became a speech-language pathologist because I’m passionate about helping people find their voice and communicate with confidence. I love empowering individuals to build the communication skills they need to connect with others and participate more fully in everyday life.

My clinical experience includes skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) and public school settings, where I’ve supported individuals with a wide range of communication needs across the lifespan. I enjoy creating individualized therapy plans that are engaging, functional, and tailored to each client’s unique strengths, goals, and daily routines.

I’m committed to lifelong learning and regularly pursue continuing education in evidence-based practice. I also have specialized training in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), allowing me to support individuals with complex communication needs and identify communication strategies that best fit each client's strengths.

My therapy approach is client-centered and highly individualized. I use strengths-based, functional strategies that promote communication beyond the therapy room and collaborate closely with clients, families, and caregivers to support carryover into everyday life. My goal is to help every client build confidence, foster independence, and communicate in ways that are meaningful to them.
