Melanie Pensak

Hi, I’m Melanie! I became a speech-language pathologist (SLP) because I’ve always been drawn to the connection between communication, play, and meaningful engagement. I find joy in supporting individuals as they build the skills they need to participate more fully in their daily lives, and I love how creative and unique each therapy session can be.

I’ve worked across multidisciplinary private practice, home health, early intervention, and school-based settings, supporting children with a wide range of communication needs. These experiences have shaped my ability to provide individualized, compassionate care that is functional, practical, and tailored to each client and family.

I’m especially passionate about early language development, sensory regulation, and helping children build foundational communication skills through meaningful, play-based experiences. I enjoy partnering closely with families to help carry therapy strategies into everyday routines in a natural and supportive way.

My therapy approach is client-centered, strengths-based, and highly individualized, with an emphasis on sensory-informed strategies, functional communication, family involvement, and meaningful participation in daily activities.
