Madison Morris
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.S., CCC-SLP)
I became interested in speech-language pathology after watching my father navigate communication challenges during his battle with brain cancer. When traditional communication tools did not fully meet his needs, I began exploring creative ways to help him express himself, which inspired my passion for AAC and helping others find their voice.
I have experience working in acute care, home health, and school settings, supporting individuals with a variety of communication needs across the lifespan. During graduate school at the University of Texas at Austin, I conducted research with the AAC Lab and was published as a second author in the ASHA Journal. I also completed and presented thesis research on the effectiveness of teletherapy for teaching symbol learning to a child with severe autism, with publication currently in progress.
In addition, I taught courses through Project SKILLS, a parent-focused program designed to strengthen communication through play-based interaction. I am especially passionate about AAC, autism, family education, and empowering clients to become confident self-advocates.
My therapy approach is holistic, functional, sensory-informed, family-centered, and highly individualized to each client’s strengths and goals.

Other interests
I love watching anime, playing video games, play tabletop roleplaying games like Dungeons and Dragons, and also spend a good portion of my time dancing a partner dance called West Coast Swing. I travel competitively for the dance and know how to both lead and follow. I am also a part of the national diversity board for West Coast Swing to provide education and awareness of how to make dance spaces more inclusive. I also run a social dance monthly in Austin, TX.

I love the convenience and accessibility of this service. It’s often hard to make speech therapy appointments in person with different schedules in the family. Both of my son’s therapists were very patient and engaging. I have definitely seen a major improvement in his speech and would used this service again in the future!
