Loretta Lewis

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.S., CCC-SLP)

Accepts 34 insurance plans

Hi! I’m Loretta. I became a speech-language pathologist (SLP) because I saw how powerful communication is in shaping a person’s confidence, relationships, and independence. I was drawn to this field because it lets me help people be understood—whether that’s a child learning their first words, an autistic individual using AAC, or an adult rebuilding communication after illness or injury. Being an SLP allows me to blend my love for science, creativity, and advocacy while helping people feel heard, empowered, and supported.

I have completed specialized training in Gestalt Language Processing (GLP) and Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC), which guide my clinical decision-making when supporting autistic individuals, late talkers, and children with motor speech disorders. In addition, I have completed DIR Floortime training, which strengthens my ability to support social communication, emotional regulation, and relationship-based intervention approaches. These trainings, combined with my clinical doctorate coursework, allow me to integrate neurodiversity-affirming, motor-based, and functional communication approaches into my daily practice.

My clinical experience spans diverse settings, including elementary, middle, and high schools; general and special education classrooms; private outpatient pediatric clinics; skilled nursing facilities; university speech and hearing clinics; and teletherapy platforms.

I approach therapy with a client-centered and highly individualized style while incorporating sensory-integration-informed practices to support meaningful carryover, helping each person build confidence, independence, and lifelong self-advocacy skills.
