Lizzette Burger
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.S., CCC-SLP)
About me
Hi! I’m Lizzette. I had a work study job at the Speech & Hearing Clinic when I was a freshman at the university. I saw graduate students treat patients under the supervision of their professors and became interested in the field. My little brother stuttered as a child, and he received speech services at the university clinic, too. I’m committed to lifelong learning and regularly pursue advanced training to better support the families I serve. My continuing education spans early childhood language development, bilingualism, and autism. My clinical experience spans diverse settings, including schools, outpatient rehabilitation, and home health. I take a client-centered and highly individualized approach to therapy. By integrating routines-based and sensory-integration-informed practices, I focus on supporting meaningful carryover of skills into daily life. I also prioritize family involvement and functional outcomes, helping each client build confidence, independence, and effective communication skills.
