Lisa Salisbury
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.S., CCC-SLP)
Hi! I’m Lisa. I became a speech-language pathologist because I wanted a career where I could make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. I’ve always been fascinated by the brain’s ability to grow and change, and I love helping people (especially children) overcome challenges, build confidence, and gain the communication skills they need to connect with the world around them.
My clinical experience includes early intervention, outpatient, and school-based settings, where I’ve supported individuals with a wide range of communication needs. I enjoy creating engaging, functional therapy plans that are tailored to each client’s unique strengths, goals, and daily routines. One of the most rewarding parts of my work is building meaningful relationships with clients and families and celebrating their progress together.
I’m committed to lifelong learning and regularly pursue continuing education in evidence-based practice. I have completed LAMP: Language Acquisition through Motor Planning training, strengthening my ability to support individuals who benefit from augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).
My therapy approach is client-centered, strengths-based, and highly individualized. I use functional strategies that promote communication beyond the therapy room and collaborate closely with clients, families, and caregivers to support carryover into everyday life. My goal is to help every client build confidence, foster independence, and communicate in ways that are meaningful to them.
