Hello! I'm Laura. In high school, I volunteered to assist foreign-born students in learning English, which sparked my interest in communication and helping people gain confidence in expressing themselves. I have completed extensive research in the area of aphasia and have authored multiple publications and presentations for the Clinical Aphasiology Conference.
I began my career working with hearing-impaired students from pre-K through high school. After moving to Florida, I worked in hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and pediatric clinics. I later moved to California, where I continue to work both remotely and in person at California Rehabilitation Institute. Throughout my career, I have developed multiple client support programs and completed specialized training across the United States.
I also created a professional communication course focused on building confidence in communication and professional development, as well as a cognitive wellness program designed to help minimize the impact of aging on cognition. My therapeutic approach is holistic, and I continue to be inspired by my clients’ perseverance, resilience, and desire to improve.
