Kristen Sheffer
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.A., CCC-SLP)
About me
Hello! I’m Kristen. I became a speech-language pathologist (SLP) because my grandfather had a stroke when I was in high school and he lost the ability to communicate effectively. From my personal experiences, I decided I wanted to help others in whatever way I could, as I believe that communication in all its forms is a basic human right. While in college, I received a certificate in Deaf Studies, to better understand Deaf culture. I have also completed training on gestalt language processing. I have worked in clinical settings such as pediatric private practice, daycares, and schools (preschool through high school). I would describe my clinical style as holistic, client-centered, individualized/personalized, sensory integrated, and rooted in client empowerment to create self-advocates.

Patient reviews
All reviews have been submitted by patients after seeing the provider.
Your trust is our top concern, so we will never alter or remove reviews. We also don't publish reviews that contain any private patient health information.
We absolutely love working with Kristen. She has given us so much insight to how we can better help our non-speaking child. I leave every session with more empowerment and feel fully supported. Thank you!
