Kim Wedoff

Hi! I’m Kim. I became a speech-language pathologist (SLP) because I’m passionate about helping others reach their communication goals. Communication is essential for building relationships, learning, and expressing thoughts, feelings, and needs, and I find it incredibly rewarding to help individuals strengthen these skills and gain confidence.

Working with children is especially meaningful to me. I love their energy, curiosity, and resilience, and I enjoy partnering with families to support growth and celebrate every milestone—big or small. Watching a child’s confidence develop alongside their communication skills is what continues to inspire me as an SLP.

My clinical experience spans home-based services, private practice, teletherapy, and school settings. I have extensive experience supporting children with sensory feeding disorders and a wide range of speech and language needs. I am also Early Intervention certified in Illinois for both evaluations and treatment.

I’m committed to continuing education and have completed advanced training in Autism, AAC, receptive and expressive language delays, articulation, phonological disorders, and fluency. These experiences allow me to provide individualized, evidence-based support tailored to each child’s needs.

My therapy approach is functional, strengths-based, and highly individualized. I prioritize family involvement, routines-based strategies, and sensory integration to promote meaningful progress and carryover into everyday life.
