Hi! I’m Kennedy. I became a speech-language pathologist after reflecting on my own experience receiving speech therapy as a toddler at Jackson State University’s clinic. Knowing firsthand the impact early support can have inspired me to return to my alma mater and dedicate my career to helping other children find their voice.

My clinical background spans a variety of pediatric settings, where I support children with diverse speech, language, and complex communication needs. My therapy approach is individualized, functional, and centered on each child and family's unique goals. I prioritize active partnership with caregivers to seamlessly weave strategies into daily routines, fostering functional communication, self-advocacy, and long-term empowerment.

I am deeply committed to clinical excellence, evidence-based care, and ongoing professional growth. My specialized background includes undergraduate research on culturally responsive assessment in Child African American English (AAE), which I presented at ASHA Schools Connect. Additionally, I have completed specialized training in early language development and literacy, as well as collaborative intervention strategies for interdisciplinary speech and special education services.
