Kelly Helmintoller
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.S., CCC-SLP)
Hi! I’m Kelly. I became a speech-language pathologist because communication is such an important part of how children connect with the people they love, and I wanted to help families support those connections. Watching a child grow in confidence and independence is one of the most rewarding parts of my work.
My clinical experience spans a variety of settings, where I’ve supported children with a wide range of communication needs. I enjoy creating engaging, functional therapy plans tailored to each child’s strengths, goals, and everyday routines, with an emphasis on meaningful progress that carries beyond the therapy room.
I’m committed to ongoing professional development and have completed specialized training in Hanen’s It Takes Two to Talk, Hanen’s More Than Words, and Meaningful Speech’s Natural Language Acquisition (NLA) training. These experiences have strengthened my ability to support early language development and provide individualized, evidence-based care.
My therapy approach is client-centered, strengths-based, and highly individualized. I use functional strategies to support meaningful communication and participation while partnering closely with families and caregivers to encourage carryover into everyday life. My goal is to create a supportive environment where every child can build confidence, develop communication skills, and connect more fully with the world around them.
