Hi! I’m Julia. I became a speech-language pathologist because communication looks different for everyone. Whether helping a child discover their preferred way to communicate or supporting an adult in preserving the connection, memory, and thinking skills that shape daily life, I am passionate about helping people stay connected to the world around them.

My clinical background spans a variety of settings, where I support individuals across the lifespan with diverse speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing needs. My therapy approach is client-centered, functional, and strengths-based. I prioritize active partnership with clients and families, integrating practical, personalized strategies into everyday routines to promote independence, confidence, and self-advocacy.

I am deeply committed to clinical excellence, interdisciplinary care, and ongoing professional growth. My specialized training includes hands-on evaluation and implementation for high- and low-tech augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), interdisciplinary co-treatment alongside PTs and OTs in medical rehab and school settings, instrumental dysphagia (swallowing) assessments, IEP compliance and special education program development, and targeted voice and swallowing therapy for Parkinson’s disease.

Other interests

Outside of speech therapy, I enjoy exploring new places with friends and always jumping at the chance to try new things. I also love winding down by getting lost in a good book or doing some coloring.
