Julia Donovan

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.S., CCC-SLP)

Accepts 9 insurance plans

Hi! I’m Julia. I was inspired to become a speech-language pathologist after witnessing a close family friend go through post stroke communication difficulties. She suffered from Wernicke's aphasia, and seeing her overcome/work through instances of difficult communication situations with her speech therapist made me want to do the same. My passion for the field grew expansively through my undergraduate and graduate studies.

My clinical experience spans a variety of settings, including acute care, outpatient, long and short term rehabs, schools, and skilled nursing facilities. These experiences have allowed me to support individuals with diverse communication needs across the lifespan while developing a collaborative and functional approach to care.

My therapy approach is client-centered, strengths-based, and highly individualized. I prioritize family involvement, routines-based strategies, and meaningful real-world outcomes to support lasting progress. My goal is to help clients build confidence, independence, and lifelong self-advocacy skills in a supportive and empowering environment.
