Jillian Turner
Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTD, OTR/L)
About me
Hi! I’m Jill. I became an occupational therapist because I am deeply motivated by helping individuals better understand their bodies, emotions, and environments so they can participate more fully and confidently in daily life. Through my work with children and families, I’ve seen how regulation, movement, and meaningful connection can be transformative when approached with compassion and intention. I value building trusting relationships, using strengths-based and neurodiversity-affirming practices, and supporting clients in ways that feel empowering rather than corrective. Being a therapist allows me to combine clinical knowledge with creativity, problem-solving, and advocacy to help people thrive in their own unique ways. I am DIR Floortime certified and have experience evaluating and treating clients in the pediatric outpatient and school-based settings. I approach therapy with a holistic and client-centered style. I incorporate sensory-informed practices to support meaningful carryover, and I prioritize strengths-based strategies and client empowerment to help each person build confidence, independence, and lifelong self-advocacy skills.
