About me

Hi! I'm Jessica. I wanted to become a speech-language pathologist (SLP) because communication is everywhere, whether it be in public speaking or simply holding someone’s hand. If a person has a speech or language disorder, it can affect everything almost everything they do. I want to help and advocate for people experiencing difficulty communicating. I have taken trainings, courses, and certifications in Visualizing and Verbalizing for Language Comprehension and Thinking, Orson-Gillingham Comprehensive and Morphology, and Simon Says Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy Programs (Tongue Tips, Tiny Tongue Tips, Thumbs Up). I previously worked in the school setting. I would describe my clinical style as client-centered, functional, individualized/personalized, and rooted in client empowerment to create self-advocates.
