Genesia Watters

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.S., CCC-SLP)

Accepts 7 insurance plans

Hi! I’m Genesia. I became a speech-language pathologist because I believe communication is access. Language is more than words—it’s connection, identity, learning, self-advocacy, and opportunity. I’m passionate about helping people feel understood, supported, and empowered to communicate in ways that reflect who they truly are.

I’m especially passionate about supporting students and families whose strengths may be overlooked due to language differences, literacy challenges, learning needs, or cultural background. I believe therapy is not about “fixing” someone, but about building tools, confidence, and access so individuals can communicate meaningfully in the environments that matter most to them.

My clinical interests include speech, language, literacy, academic communication, and self-expression. I’ve completed specialized training in literacy and written language disorders through The Julie Atwood Speech, Language, and Literacy Center and continue to pursue learning opportunities that strengthen my ability to provide thoughtful, evidence-based care.

My therapy approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and strengths-based. I strive to understand the whole person—not just a diagnosis or test score—and create individualized therapy experiences that support confidence, independence, and authentic communication in daily life.
