Erika Argueta Connor

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.A., CCC-SLP)

Hi! I’m Erika. I began my career as a Spanish teacher at an independent school in Massachusetts, where I noticed that some students were working hard but struggling to access the curriculum in the same way as their peers. Through conversations with the school’s speech therapist, I learned how language processing and learning differences can affect academic success. That experience inspired me to pursue speech-language pathology and help individuals bridge the gap between effort and access.

My clinical experience spans a variety of settings, where I’ve supported individuals across the lifespan with a wide range of communication and swallowing needs. I enjoy creating engaging, functional therapy plans tailored to each client’s strengths, goals, and everyday routines, with an emphasis on meaningful progress that carries into daily life.

I’m committed to ongoing professional development and have attended the International Dyslexia Conference, along with workshops focused on developmental language disorder, childhood apraxia of speech, and autism. These experiences have strengthened my ability to support individuals with diverse learning and communication needs using evidence-based strategies.

My therapy approach is holistic, family-centered, strengths-based, and highly individualized. I collaborate closely with clients, families, and caregivers to create functional goals and strategies that support communication and swallowing beyond the therapy room. My goal is to empower each client to build confidence, strengthen independence, and participate more fully in the activities and relationships that matter most.
