Hi! I’m Elexea, a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP). I was initially inspired and intrigued by the wide variety of this field. Watching my own family members suffer from strokes and cancer, I decided to dedicate my professional career to serving others. The brain and neurology have always been a passion of mine, which further fueled my dedication to learn and excel within this field.

I have worked across a range of settings, including acute care, inpatient rehabilitation (general population and TBI), outpatient neurorehabilitation, skilled nursing facilities, pediatric outpatient clinics (with school contracts), and teletherapy within an ABA company.

I hold certifications in LSVT LOUD (adults and pediatrics), SPEAK OUT!, and am both a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) and Certified Brain Injury Specialist Trainer (CBIST). These advanced certifications allow me to effectively translate evidence-based research into meaningful, functional therapy sessions. I am also a Brain Injury Fundamentals instructor through the Brain Injury Association of America and am passionate about providing education on brain injury symptoms, management, and support.

I have a special interest in pediatric traumatic brain injury (TBI), an often underestimated condition, and I am dedicated to increasing awareness and advocacy in this area. Aphasia is another area I am passionate about, particularly when it comes to education and support for individuals and families.

My clinical style is holistic, client-centered, and highly individualized. I incorporate functional, strengths-based, and sensory-integrated approaches, while prioritizing family involvement. My goal is to empower each client to build confidence, independence, and strong self-advocacy skills.

I absolutely love to cook and bake, read, as well as workout. More recently I have loved my husband and I slowing down our usually very busy and unaligned schedules, to spend time with our newborn.
