Carla Grundy

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.S., CCC-SLP)

Accepts 25 insurance plans

Hi! I’m Carla. I became a speech therapist because I saw a gap that mattered—there were not enough skilled providers for deaf and hard of hearing children and adults. I wanted to be part of changing that.

What keeps me in this work is family-centered practice. I love coaching parents. I help them understand not just what to do, but why it works so they can confidently support their child in everyday life. I especially love watching children “break the code” and realize they can communicate.

My clinical experience spans a wide range of settings, including schools, early intervention (EI), early childhood special education (ECSE), acute care, private practice, outpatient rehabilitation, hospitals, nursing homes, long-term care facilities, home health, and nonprofit agencies. These experiences have strengthened my ability to support individuals and families across the lifespan with personalized, functional care.

I’m not the expert at the center of the work—I’m the team captain. Real change happens when caregivers feel empowered to meet their own goals for their child. At its core, my work is adult learning in action—practical, collaborative, and transformative. I love this work.
