Chloe Renee Plazo

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.S.Ed., CCC-SLP)

Accepts 30 insurance plans

Hi! I’m Chloe. I became a speech therapist initially because I saw my grandfather have to relearn how to use his voice to communicate after receiving a tracheostomy. Shortly after undergrad, I also had experience working with children that were diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other learning disabilities and grew an even bigger interest in speech and language. In addition, I love teaching, so I felt speech-language pathology gives me the opportunities to educate, counsel, and support individuals and families.

I have experience supporting individuals with a wide range of communication needs in the skilled nursing facility, inpatient, outpatient, and clinic settings. To continue building my clinical expertise, I will be completing Beckman Oral Motor training in summer 2026. I also have experience supporting AAC users with Tobii Dynavox TD Snap. In addition, I’ve developed specialized knowledge in cleft lip and palate speech and resonance through my work as a treating therapist with the Craniofacial Specialty Team Center at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital from 2021 to 2025.

I approach therapy with a holistic, client-centered, functional, and highly individualized style. I incorporate routines-based and sensory-integration-informed practices to support meaningful carryover, and I prioritize family involvement, strengths-based strategies, and client empowerment to help each person build confidence, independence, and lifelong self-advocacy skills.
