Chelse Mentrup
Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (M.S., CCC-SLP)
Hi! I’m Chelse. I became a therapist because I truly enjoy working with children and being part of their growth. One of the most meaningful parts of my work is partnering with families to help their children reach important goals and milestones. Speech therapy is such a rewarding field, and I love the unique challenges and joys that each child brings to the therapy process.
I hold specialized training in the following areas: Neonatal Oral-Motor Assessment Scale (NOMAS), Sequential Oral Sensory (SOS) Approach to Feeding, Beckman Oral Motor, Catherine Shaker Infant Feeding Course, Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP) Workshop, and the DIR/Floortime Method.
I’ve had the privilege of working in pediatric outpatient and private practice settings, supporting children with a wide range of communication and feeding needs. My approach is client-centered and routines-based, focusing on functional, meaningful goals that empower clients and families to become confident self-advocates. I also incorporate sensory integration techniques as needed to support regulation and engagement throughout therapy.

When I'm not in the therapy room, life is full with my three kids who keep me on my toes! We love heading to the beach whenever we get the chance and enjoy traveling together as a family. At home, my daughters and I spend a lot of time in the kitchen cooking and baking — we’ve even jumped on the sourdough bandwagon and are having fun experimenting with it!
