About me

Hi! I'm Cecilia. I earned my Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Cincinnati in 2020. I became a speech-language pathologist (SLP) because I am passionate about language, communication, and helping others. My clinical experience includes providing services to individuals of all ages in a variety of settings including inpatient rehab, outpatient clinics, schools, and homes. I am a neurodiversity-affirming SLP, meaning that I take a strengths-based, individualized approach to supporting my clients and their families. I have also participated in research focusing on typical and disordered speech-language development in monolingual and multilingual speakers. My efforts are centered around characterizing the client in the context of their environment using the lens offered by the International Classification of Functioning, Disability, and Health. By applying this framework, I seek to inform culturally responsive practices that differentiate development from disorder. I love working with clients and families to create personalized treatment plans that support their speech and language goals!
