About me

Hi! I'm Catherine, a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP). I've been fascinated by language and communication for as long as I can remember: when I was in elementary school, I got my mom to take me to a kids' sign language class one summer. I babysat twins who had autism when I was in high school, and got to see how their speech therapist helped them learn to communicate. The idea that I could have an entire career helping all kinds of people communicate was pretty amazing. I have worked in home health, outpatient, inpatient, preschools, and K-12. I completed the Bilingual Extension Institute at Columbia University's Teacher College, which equips SLPs to provide culturally and linguistically appropriate services with a focus on evidence-based practice. In recent years, I've taken an interest in facilitating workplace success for neurodiverse people, attending the Neurodiversity in the Workplace Conference and completing the Employing Abilities at Work certificate. I would describe my clinical style as holistic, client-centered, individualized/personalized, family-centric, and strengths-based.

Catherine Moore is amazing. She is so good with my son and is good at handling him when he gets off track. Which he does…a lot. He is six, so it happens. I also enjoy the way we’re included in his journey by the homework and notes we’re given. I sit in with him, but it helps my husband keep up with everything going on.
