Brooke Garnes

Hi! I’m Brooke. I became a speech-language pathologist because I wanted a career where I could make a meaningful difference by helping people communicate. Watching individuals express their thoughts, connect with others, and gain greater independence is what continues to make this work so rewarding.

Throughout my career, I’ve developed a strong passion for augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) and have enjoyed expanding my knowledge in this specialized area. I have years of experience supporting individuals who use a variety of communication devices and apps, including LAMP, TouchChat, GoTalk, GoTalkNow, Clicker Communicator, and PECS. I’m passionate about helping each client find communication tools that fit their unique needs, preferences, and goals.

My therapy approach is client-centered and highly individualized. I use functional and sensory-based strategies to support regulation, engagement, and meaningful communication while partnering closely with families and caregivers to encourage carryover into everyday life. My goal is to create a supportive environment where every client can build confidence, develop communication skills, and connect more fully with the people and world around them.
