About me
Hi! I'm Bailey. I became a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) because I wanted to help people. One big influence for me choosing this career path was my sister. She was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder when we were growing up, and I remember taking her to see an SLP. The SLP who helped her made such an impact on her life, including her articulation and social skills; it was amazing. I completed an additional year of coursework at Kent State University to gain my Certificate of Early Intervention so that I could work with children ages birth to 5. I also have my Developmental Specialist License in the state of Ohio. I am certified and trained for AAC and Gestalt Language Processing, Echolalia, and Natural Language Acquisition. I have worked in schools, both preschool and elementary. I would describe my clinical style as client-centered, functional, individualized/personalized, routines-based, sensory integrated, and rooted in client empowerment to create self-advocates.

This is as a great experience for my son and for myself as well. He improved so much within a year and seems so much more confident with his speech. We still practice the things we learned during our sessions. For doing it through video calls, this was more than what I expected and in the best way. We are grateful!
