Hi, I’m April! I became a speech-language pathologist (SLP) because I believe communication is one of the most powerful ways we connect with others and navigate the world. I’m passionate about using my skills to support individuals in building meaningful, functional communication that enhances their everyday lives.
I’ve worked across a variety of settings, including adult rehabilitation, public schools, home health, private practice (both speech-only and multidisciplinary clinics), ABA centers, and telepractice. These experiences have allowed me to support individuals across the lifespan with a wide range of communication needs while strengthening my collaborative, individualized approach to care.
I’m especially passionate about augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), motor-based speech interventions, natural language development approaches, and supporting neurodiverse individuals through affirming, strengths-based care. I also enjoy helping teams and families feel confident implementing communication strategies across environments. I have completed specialized training in Natural Language Acquisition (NLA), Language Acquisition through Motor Planning (LAMP), Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) treatment using Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC), and Assistive Technology Team collaboration. I have also provided training to organizations on the fundamentals of AAC.
My therapy approach is holistic, client-centered, and highly individualized, with an emphasis on functional communication, family involvement, cultural responsiveness, and empowering each client to become a confident self-advocate.

April is so kind and attentive. Child-led activities to nurture language growth. She always actively engages with my son based off his interests and vibes. Virtual services that keep a three year old nonspeaking autistic child actively engaged are truly rare. We are so grateful.

April has been the best addition to my sons life! He looks forward to meeting with her every session. She encourages him, adapts to his personality but also gently pushes him out of his comfort zone. He has grown so much since we have been interacting with her. I look forward to his progress which is inevitable because she is a gem!
